Although I name three professional identities on these pages, whichever role I’m in, I’m always essentially engaging in using words, and helping others use words.
I love and delight in human beings even as I grieve and rage against the violence all around us. My own experiences have made me able to address one particular casualty of violence best of all: how it silences certain voices and erases or distorts truth.
